Our History

April 2018: CSz Boston and Riot Improv collaborated to open The Rozzie Square Theater, rooting Roslindale as the official home for ComedySportz in New England and the new home for Riot Improv, relocating from Jamaica Plain on South st.

May 2018 - March 2026: The RST launched and operated continuously @ 5 Basile St., also recognized as 4198 Washington St. in Roslindale.

March 2026: The RST temporarily relocated to 18b Corinth St. as the 4198 Washington St. location transitioned into the redevelopment of the building from a single-story commercial building into a 5-story mixed-use building. The updated redevelopment will feature a significant amount of income-restricted housing (thus increasing the density in a transit-rich, small business-centric neighborhood) as well as commercial rentals on the ground floor, with The Rozzie Square Theater being rebuilt to 4,700+ square feet. Timing to completion Fall 2027.

The theater is the only brick-and-mortar comedy club in Boston owned by a Woman and Asian American.
