Dramatic Improv

a 4-week series

This class is an introduction to improvised theater that focuses on realism and groundedness rather than comedy (although we won’t rule out having fun!).

We’ll explore how to use:

  • pacing

  • emotion

  • character

  • physicality

to conjure dramatic scene work that feels true-to-life and speaks to complex themes. By the end of the class, you’ll be ready to improvise long form dramatic scenes that make the audience think and feel.

Prerequisite: Rozzie Square Theater Level 1B improv or equivalent. No dramatic improv experience necessary!
