The Rozzie Square Theater Announces Addition to Leadership Team

Emmy Serviss Named Team Manager to the ComedySportz Boston Cast

April 30, 2025, Boston, MACSz Boston, the purveyors of ComedySportz in the New England area and owners of The Rozzie Square Theater, proudly announces the appointment of Emmy Serviss as the new Team Manager of ComedySportz Boston, bringing a powerful blend of leadership, creativity, and theater expertise to the team currently in its 12th year of operation.

Serviss, a ComedySportz performer since 2017, brings a decade of experience in entertainment management, production coordination, and community engagement. She will oversee day-to-day team operations, team development, the ComedySportz Minor League program, and strategic performance planning, working closely with owner and Artistic Director Courtney Pong to elevate the ComedySportz brand and performer experience.

“I'm extremely excited to be starting my next chapter with ComedySportz Boston as Team Manager and Minor League Coach! While I very much enjoy being a performer, I've always found something so special being able to mentor others while they find their own creative spark.  There's nothing quite so satisfying as when it's time for me to just stand back and watch them shine. I can't wait to continue to foster the amazing community we have with ComedySportz Boston and the Rozzie Square Theater!”

Courtney Pong, who has led ComedySportz Boston since its relaunch in New England in 2016, expressed strong enthusiasm for the addition to her leadership team.

“Emmy’s ability to balance creative vision with structured execution makes her the perfect fit for this role,” said Pong. “She brings a fresh perspective to team dynamics and a deep respect for the integrity of improv as an entertainment form. We’re entering an exciting new chapter with  ComedySportz Boston, and Emmy’s leadership is a big part of that future. Our players, fans, and the Boston comedy community as a whole will benefit from what she brings to the table.”

Serviss, a long-time contributor to Boston’s arts and comedy scene, is also known for her work in live event production and for fostering collaborative environments that center both audience impact and performer wellbeing.

“ComedySportz has always been a welcoming experience for both audiences and performers alike - the connection through laughter is something I’m dedicated to and I’m excited to support our players in delivering that mission every time we step on or off that field,” said Serviss.
