Advanced Elective: Musical Improv 1

This class provides a foundation of the skills and understanding that lead to successful musically improvised songs.

In this 8-week course we'll :

• Cover stepping stones to improvising songs

• Learn some musical improv games to practice the skills

• Build confidence in singing and improvising musically

• Develop an understanding of song structure and types of songs

• Strengthen musicality, rhythm, and harmony

• Foster emotional expression and creativity in musical improv.

Prerequisite: Rozzie Square Theater level 2B improv or equivalent. No musical experience necessary!
